Stephen's Family reunion 2009

Here is the Link to all the decent pictures. All the artsy ones I took out for editing.

So we left Saturday morning to travel the hour or so to James Town. Last time we did this Dax was 3 months old. So he slept most of the time we were there.

So we get up there and they are getting started on the craft. This year it was a small sewing project. Well I didn't finish mine cause I had a child to chase after now that he's walking. We ate and had fun just hanging out on the farm. It later started to rain during Dax's only nap. I was so mad. But later that night we got Chris and Lindsay (brother and sister in law) We all went to Wades house and set up camp there in the den. This room was covered from wall to wall with dolls. Of which I found two I use to have as a girl.

We went to James town for ice cream and a wal mart. Needless to say we got lost in the dark in a place we've never been before. There was a truck with a bunch of kids in it. It had a couch and a huge rebel flag next to it. We deiced to keep driving. We ran in to our uncle at McDonalds and he told us where it was.

Wade said he wanted to make breakfast for us the next morning. Grannie said that he was to old and we would go get McDonalds in the morning. Well when we left for ice cream he decided to make the biscuits. So the next morning seeing that I was the only one with a kid I woke up first. So Wade made us biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage. How nice was that!!! I love a home made meal.

Sundays are the best. We all wake up and have church on the farm. Tell me how cool is that. Its a testimony service but it's soo cool. Then after that we all get our pictures taken. It's just so much fun going up there every year. We've always had so much fun. Dax is almost 15 months and he had a blast. I can't wait to go next year.

This is Chris and Lindsay standing next to the outhouse.

Billy and Dax

These are the great great grand kids!

Dax loved this little car

These are the people we stayed with. All the family who lives in James town has their head stone all ready.

There is a first time for everything

So yesterday was my first full blown funeral. It went well. I left with the other two people in my department to go to the church. This church was so big and pretty with a huge white steeple. I was a little nervous being that it was an open casket. I walked up to her husband gave him my best wishes and went to see Kelley one last time. She looked great. So much better than the last time I saw her with her being in a coma and having tubes come out of every where. She didn't look like her happy self. But seeing her yesterday, she was so peaceful.

The services were great, lots of singing and funny stories. They even saved her spot in the choir for her. She was really a great person. Of course like I would imagine most funerals are hard on the family, and it was. My prayers go out to them. It was hard when they closed the lid to her resting place. That was the last time I would see my dear boss. They carried her past our row and out side to the car. We all drove to the cemetery. What a great plot they got for her. Under a big tree. They did a dove released and that was really cool. Everyone from work was there and all her family and people she worked with in Georgia as well as some of the big time Lottery chair men.

It's still hard for me to think and realized that Kelley is gone. Not gone from my heart but that she's not coming back to work that we aren't going out to eat any more. All her stuff is still here. I just brought back her sewing machine she let me borrow. I've gotten in to a habit being here two years now, when I take the papers back to the CEO's desk in the morning I have to walk past her desk. I always look to see if i beat her to work or if she bought donuts today. Then one day a few weeks ago it was open and she was here. She's a real trooper. When she was here for those two days she told me that she graduated with her bachelors. This has been her goal for a while now. To get her degree before she turned 50, and that is what she did. I loved her and will miss her. I know she is not in pain any more and I know that she is where she wants to be. In the presence of her Lord. She was also reunited with her parents. So I am happy for her.

Social Butterfly

I do have a myspace, facebook, cafemom and many more memberships to other social networks. I like the fact that I can find old friends and reconnect. I like to see what people are up to these days. Or some of the networks are more for advise or just talking.

I know they always say becareful who you talk to or add as a friend and all that jazz. So every so often I get a message like this.

I don't know this person so there for I don't care for his little message and this ended him up on my blocked list. :) Now if this was a good friend of mine I know that they would only be joking with me. But what creepy people are out there.

But just to make sure here are some tips on being safe while using any social network:

— Kids shouldn't lie about how old they are.

— MySpace is a public space. Members shouldn't post anything they wouldn't want the world to know (e.g., phone number, address, IM screen name, or specific whereabouts). Tell your children they should avoid posting anything that would make it easy for a stranger to find them, such as their local hangouts.

— Remember not to post anything that could embarrass them later or expose yourself to danger.

— People aren't always who they say they are. Be careful about adding strangers to your friends list. It's fun to connect with new MySpace friends from all over the world, but members should be cautious when communicating with people they don't know.

— Don’t get hooked by a phishing scam. Phishing is a method used by fraudsters to try to get your personal information, such as your username and password, by pretending to be a site you trust.

Kelley Cavalier

Today I had a very hard choice to make. If you've had a baby I will gladly come and see you in the hospital. If your sick don't count on it. Seeing that I can't do hospitals. My boss of two years had been lying in and out of a hospital for 10 weeks now with heart problems. Last night she went into cardiac arrest and ended up in a coma today. I really was hoping she would gt better and come back to work. When I got back from lunch today I left again in a van full of people to see her. They are letting Kelley got to her heavenly father tonight at 6. They are taking her off of light support. There is nothing we can do she has lost all brain waves. We were hoping she would do better enough to get a heart transplant.

Kelley had a big heart. She was the sweetest person I've worked for. Looking out for Dax and everyone she met. She has what her dad had and what killed her dad. Some heart disease. We love and will miss her and her sweet spirit.

It feels like this happen all of a sudden. Her office is still filled with candy and stuff. I bought back her sew machine finally.
Don't mine me this was the baby shower Kelley threw for me at work. She's the one in the back ground.

It's that time again!

So we took our cans in a few weeks ago. We had so many. We had to volunteer our friend to take us because there was NO way they were all fitting into our cars. So we drove over there dumped them in the bin. This time most of them were crushed. This next time they WILL all be crushed. Here is our picture from this trip.

For 2,380 cans at .32 a pound we got $23.70. How crazy is that we had about 300 more cans this time around and got less. It was .50 a pound last time...:( but it still bought hot wings from Hooters
This was the picture I took last time. 2,080 cans $32.90......Both times the bin was full but you can fit more cans in there if they are crushed.

4th of July!

Well this weekend was pretty fun! I got off work early on Thursday and Friday I had off. So Saturday we started our morning watching our toons.

We got the infant seat back from my parents house and Dax loves sitting and playing with it. So he watched his toons in it with bear.

We later headed over to Vinnie's house for a cook out. We had hambergers and chicken and yummy food. Beth came over too with her two boys. Phoniex and Chris.

While he was cooking we went out and about to take some pictures....

He's giving me a cheese face...lol

Daddy got a new hair cut. So nice. But we had fun! Yeah it rained but we put Dax to sleep and at 10:30 exploded about $200 worth of fireworks it was so cool. That's one fun thing about Tennessee is you can get fireworks. Arizona is way to dry to think about that. Here is what we had to set off!

I don't have any funny pictures of the boys setting them off because it was raining. Camer+water= dead camera

But it was a good time! Happy 4th to everyone...

Just a nice day

So Friday I had off. So me and Dax had fun. We went shopping at New York and Company got some really cute stuff for a GREAT deal. (I think one of my tops was $40 and i got it for $8) We went to the park in the apartments. He loves that swing! We also made a nice dinner. I also set up a cute little set up on our balcony. I strung up Christmas lights put our table out there bought some Gerber Daisy's and we had a yummy chicken, cheese spaghetti dish. Well he messed it up because he wanted dinner like right when he got home at 4:30. We never eat dinner that early...so we ate out side any how..Dax enjoyed it. Then we had smores for desert! YUM
